21 - 22 May 2010 - Festival of Tricks, Craft and Entertainment

Traditional festival of crafts with a rich cultural programme. There are presented the traditional Slovak crafts and visitors of the event may try them.

19 June 2010 - Spectaculum Ignis

The second year of the festival of fire on the occasion of the midsummer accompanied by a lot of other activities aimed at rites motivated by the cult of the sun and fire including the main night programme.

27 June 2010 - Štiavnica´s Music Water Reservoir VI

The sixth  year of the beneficiary music festival dedicated to authentic Slovak folklore.

10 July 2010 - Animatus Lusus -  Festival of Live Chess

The town historic centre revives by the atmosphere of the Middle Ages. Chess players  will play blind with live chessmen dressed in medieval costumes.  Visitors will be able to see also a medieval craft fair, fire show, display of  chessboards, fencers and other attractions.

30 July - 1 August 2010 - Festival of Nice Music

Classical music in old spaces.  Concerts given at the Old Castle courtyard at candles as well as in the picturesque chapel of the manor in the close village of Svätý Anton.

7 August 2010 - Banská Štiavnica´s mountain cyclomarathon

13th traditional MTB marathon.

7 August 2010 - Unforgotten Crafts

The event will be held on entire Trinity Square and also traditional craftsmen and producers will participate. And even more to it, a market, traditional dishes, performances of musical ensembles and lot of good fun.

European festival of culture. Dramatizations of poetry texts, readings, concerts, theatre performances, interleaving and enrichment of national cultures in the common European pace, artists from several countries.

10 - 11  September 2010 - Salamander Days 2010

Municipal festival of Banská Štiavnica. Salamander procession, shaft´s day, going down to the Glanzenberg gallery, municipal awards, rich programme and good refreshment. 

9 October 2010 - Academicians in Banská Štiavnica V

Event on the occasion of the8th anniversary of signing of the Declaration of Successors of the Intangible Heritage of the Mining Academy in Banská Štiavnica, which includes a ceremony in front of the Town Hall, small Salamander procession and short ceremonies at the premises of the Alma Mater.
